I go by Josh Romero. I am an artist, and my life is my canvas. I live in Oak Cliff and work at Kidrobot in Dallas. I'm currently working on a project called "Sopa". As well as writing a book titled "Hidden Within My Chest". Both are very special to me and I'm pretty excited about them! Be on the look out for our launch early 2010. Thanks!

Dallas Urban Cycling

I thought this was pretty interesting. I found it through a friend on twitter. I just kind of wish South Dallas would join in on the action. Being from Oak Cliff you don’t see many people cycling. There are some but few and far between. Hopefully that starts to change here in the next few years. Oh, and props to whoever shot this!

Precious

Mike scooped me up and was bringing back 1984 rockin his shades in his classic whip. Look at the print on his track jacket. That’s authentic zebra print. I’m not allowed to tell you where you can cop that. Its top secret!

PIT STOP: Odoms BBQ! There’s nothing like their famous loaded beef potato. If you’ve never been, let’s go! It’s on me.

We met up with our girls right before the movie. They wanted to capture the moment so we took this snapshot. They fine right?!

Monica went with us too!!! I haven’t seen her in a minute. She’s tooo crunK! Plus, she’s single…I think? Ha.

Maaaan! Precious was tooooooo real! I knew it was gonna be good. But I didn’t know it was gonna be that good. I just really liked how they didn’t sugar coat how real a situation like that could be. There were moments when people in the theater were like “OH HELL NAH!” to things you see. But in the end the message is powerful! I hope a lot of people come out realizing the power of a woman as well as knowing they don’t have to put up with what life may throw at them in certain situations. There is always a way out! Right Precious?

The FL1 Project

My good friend Michael Asante gives a little insight into his upcoming project FL1. I’m really excited about this!!! I feel like a lot people are going to benefit from the work he’s been doing. I know he doesn’t give you much but its enough to make you wonder. I promise it’s worth your time! Be on the look out for FL1 and Sopa early 2010.

'Dat Nigga Feesher

I don’t have a blog roll. But if I did, this nigga would be in my top 5 blogs.

DJ Fishr Pryce.

Seriously, one of the most humble/funniest dj’s you’ll meet in Dallas! You’d never guess his real age. He’s on some Peter Pan shit for real. Ha! If you’re looking for a good laugh. Peep his blog here fresherthan.com/fishr or you can follow him on Twitter here twitter.com/fishr He’s always stirring up a ruckus with his on going beef with souljaboy or his out of this world zombie theories. Ha! Nigga is too throwed!!!

Love.

I had this video sitting in my private stash. I never really wanted to post it cause I felt like it was private. But then the other day I watched it and thought why not share and celebrate love with others.

It’s a video of Tranel’s wedding from this past summer. I was in his wedding party and got some shots prior to and during the wedding. I ended up putting together this video just for fun. It was really awesome to see in person though. I’m grateful that Tranel and Lisa let me be apart of such a precious moment in their lives. I never really cared much for weddings before this or even wanted one myself. Ha. But being a part of this kind of changed all that. haha. Shut up!

Sir Charles Odu.

Just like the tootsie pop and the dos equis man, the world may never know who Charles Odu really is. It’s truly a mystery. I’ve known the guy since like 3rd grade and have yet to figure him out. But all in all, you gotta love him! It’s not at all too often you find someone who is madly in love with themselves, but that does it in a way where you can’t help but want to be around it. Ha. Weird I know, but I kid you not! If you ever get a chance to kick it with him, he’ll find some way to leave an impression. Just look…

hahahahahahahahaha. This nigga is too throwed! And some how in some way he gets people to believe he is a celebrity! hahahahahahaha. Aw, man! Charles Odu everyone!

My Grill Stay Shinning

On Wednesday night Bryan decided to make bacon wrapped cream cheese stuffed grilled jalapenos. The thing is he doesn’t own a grill. Well, at least not a patio grill. He ended up using his George Foreman. This is the result:

Captain Crunch cereal goes too hoooooord! Don’t you agree?

"Wind" - Kory Wheeler

Kory Wheeler is a Tennessee native I met through an old friend while driving home from New York. Someone please convince him to move to Dallas with his music! Ha. He writes some of the coolest songs! Seriously! I always enjoy listening to his music. He does a lot of covers as well. But, this is one of my all time favorites by him. Take a listen…
